Born insomniac! Great for camping in New Forest with Owls hooting, Foxes barking and Owls in early rutting season. Something to be said for the peace and the magic of the night.
As for working shifts Rob - us women never stop!!!
Goodnight then Rob, I'm off now as there are 3 cockerels all going against each other now in the paddock at the back (not ours!), what happened to the peace of the night eh???
I didn't know Owl's "Rutted"!! Must be a special breed in the New Forest.
The Arpege is a nice unit and will do for two easy. You can get an awning (which I strongly recommend whatever FC you get) to put the cooking gear in. The awnings are also available with a sleeping extension you zip in, and a Sun Canopy you can use with or without the awning, this makes a huge living area for longer holidays.
The bunk lifts up and there is a huge storage area under the latted bed. You don't however get a solid floor in the living area as you do with the Combi's and Raclet. This isn't a problem, just pointing it out.
Hi Gray - Thanks so much for bringing our attention to my nightime blunder! Terry's here having hysterics....ah well, my first blunder but look out for more as I'm prone to them!!!
Actually Gray, it's Deer that do the rutting and that's all I'm saying about the subject, apart from the fact that the noise so close by is sensational.
Thanks for all the info on the Trigano Gray, they do have a certain appeal to them and with all you've said are definately worth considering. We did like the Raclet Allegra a great deal, but the price is somewhat high to our minds, but there again the Solena seems a bit too small - we'll get there soon enough and no good rushing things.
Pioneer - Hi and thanks you so much for the info on the Bucks site, alas we have been to the site though, still maybe worth a visit for real one day. Thanks very much to you both gents.
No Gray - tweren't Deers - twer Deer in the singular and plural!! Sorry, but guessed you may be testing me out a little after my mistake.
Ah...New Forest, home sweet home.... Where abouts did you stay? Terry & I were both born and bred there, our youngsters too until we had to move to Somerset for Terry's work. We go back as often as is possible though and usually camp as we love being in the midst of all the Birds and wildlife. Take a trip around Lyndhurst, Burley and the likes at night and there are Deer everywhere - rutting Owls too!!! Though being a foreigner you may not recognise them at first.!
Oh dear...I see just what you mean now....that all those noises were from YOU??!! I wouldn't say I was slow to catch on.....just not very quick, which I guess could mean slowish! That's it, we're not going back there anymore if that was a man noise!!! Time for bed now to catch up on my sanity.
