why don't you set it up on your drive and try out for the night.
the pods get very warm ,I don't think you need insulation.
also if you do hook up all the time fit a plinth heater and burn their electric.

I've stayed in it 2 out of the 5 times I've used it, and its went below 0 was very very cold. And that's was with a 2kw oil filled rad which I personally have found to be useless in a camper as the heat just goes up, and out the canvas.
I was given just recent a 2kw halogen heater, which is brilliant and weighs nothing, where as the rad was heavy and big.
I want to try and camp as far into the year as possible like last year, end of October. So any bit of insulation will be great.
And I'm pretty sure I can quite easily do this without hardly any weight issues.
And yeah I love burning the electricity on sites, kind of makes you feel all warm inside lol.

The other thing is I'm not keen on leaving a fan heater on at night, knowing when the fan stops, and they do stop sometimes, you watch them elements glow. It looks like Chernobyl, and that could lead to a nasty fire.

Best advice I can give re. insulation is 15mm pipe insulation on the edge of the beds that fold against the camper, stops nasty drafts.
We find a thermostat controlled convection heater works best but do leave on at night, also electric blankets keep us toasty warm. Camped this easter, below freezing at night!!

Hi dj, I've gone one better than the pipes on the gas struts, I tried theses and still got the draft.
I put it on here somewhere as pathfinder draughts solved.
Some else on here is doing the same as they used the pipe lagging as well

Not being a busy man, and a tad sneaky,Mr T has changed his sig to one with a different spelling mistake,or at least a mistake if you happen to speak the Queen's English and not that strange garbled language that seems to end up in the jokes section so much. Now that he's finished converting the loft in the Pathfinder,he will have plenty of time to sort it out.
