First aid kit
Suncream, hats, insect repellant, wellies and raincoats!
Actually we don't take wellies we rely on walking boots, but make sure you're prepared for all mishaps including the weather related ones, and have stuff to keep you warm.
We all have bits and pieces that make it a holiday, but if you are warm, dry and comfortable you'll be ok, and you'll learn what's essential to you as you go along.
Nobody's said it yet so I will, MILK , the first thing we do after unfolding the camper is to get the kettle on and have a brew, it's the best cuppa ever.
After that, a fan heater, the iPads, and some non-wet weather are good things for us :)
Most of the things mentioned here, except the wine cause we don't drink alcohol, are carried at all times in our camper anyway.
The one thing we have always carried in the front locker is a set of Mud Mats.
Absolutely essential for getting off of some of some muddy campsites after heavy rain.
We have only had to use them twice in the last 15 years or so, but front wheel drive cars, 1000kg trailer, sloping field and heavy rain make for difficult site extraction without Mud Mats.
