we have just come back from a long weekend near Slapton[devon] and felt guilty for leaving behind so much sun. and just 5 tents left on the site, the faiweather camping season is closing in, attendant reckons mid-september and the gate will be drawn for this year.

We find it all depends on the weather. Sometimes haven't been away even in summer if the weather has been bad. This year have been away four times. Just come back from Clitheroe and weather has been brilliant looks as though we mau get away again next week as there may be few more good days before Autumn really sets in. You have to decide if you are fair weather campers (like us) or if you are happy to go in the rain and cope with wet weather pack up etc.

Electric blanket on both beds(new sockets installed near both beds to stop cable mess), and 2KW smiths heater and - 2° made March no bother.
Debhil which year is your pathfinder?

Wingnut 12
It's a new one. Been up on display for 2 months. Selling off in end of season sale. As soon as we said we'd have it, it was taken down, cleaned and packed up. We paid the deposit and I have to confess that I popped along the next day to see if they were true to their word.
Sadly didn't get it this weekend as it took too long for our money to come through. Getting the cash on Monday so will get it next weekend or one evening this week if possible. They want about 2 hours with you when you collect it so you can have a lesson etc! Lol

We're 50 and 60. We've camped in a Bear Lake 6 with front extension for the past 3 years. We had numerous wet set ups and pack ups. We've also had quite a few windy hols. The wet doesn't bother me but the wind does. Especially stability!

Just got back from a weekend in the Peaks (looked unlikely all week but wasn't too bad in the end).

We have a blow heater but are aiming to have some trips in October and try an oil filled radiator to see if it's better/worse.
