We used to use a Delonghi Bambino oil filled rad with a fan heater built into it.
Bit heavy as said but quiet and easy to leave on and feel comfortable inside. Can be a bit in he way during day though.
Used to store ours against wall between toilet and kitchen when travelling.
Cheap fan heater certainly cheapest and probably fastest way to heat interior though,as the insulation isn't great obviously you need a fair bit of heat input if really cold outside
The riviera floor heater should be magic and are probably the best way to stay warm. They are externally vented so safe to leave on at night. They need no electrical connection so no need for an EHU. They are very quiet in operation. What more could you want.
They are still very much sought after and can sell for £200 on ebay sometimes.
Wise to get a CO detector though just in case.
I believe they discontinued them in the late 90s as they would have needed type testing for safety and that would have been too expensive for the numbers they made. There was also a rumour of a couple being killed when the external vents blocked with snow.
Plinth heater housed under the oven on a 10a fused spur no need to carry bulky rads around, Google the later pathfinder models 2007 onwards to give you an idea I believe they are branded smith plinth heaters around the hundred mark but well worth it
The plinth heaters are far too dangerous to be left on overnight and they do not have a thermostat.
Ideal for a quick warm up but uncomfortable to be left on for any length of time.
Hi, we bought our new Q6 Pathfinder last April so it has the efficient built in fan heater. Before the FC we had a large frame tent and used a Halogen 1KW heater. It us very efficient. They can be bought in most caravan supply shops and have an auto cut out if it tilts so will switch off immediately if knocked over. Should heat a FC well and give a warm glow light! One bar will probably work well if on a 6amp supply as it will only need 5kw.
