If using a satnav remember the nav will work out your arrival time based on national speed limits not towing speed limits so add about 10%-15% extra time to the arrival time.

as an add on to previous post about satnav and using google earth etc for site entrances,  I am going to have to eat my words.  just been to camp site just below sutton on sea.  road there from skeggie is busy single lane A road.  googled it.  saw bungalow with entrance in.  great got it sussed.  off i went.  approached campsite.  saw bungalow, saw sign with arrow, so in I went to  end up on front lawn.  stopped with trailer stuck right out in road. S**t.  now what.  had queue of traffic following me and also build up of traffic coming other way with me blocking both lanes.  no way was i going to commit myself by going in completely no room to turn round. Who said reverse out Ha.  pulled in slightly so traffic behind me could get past and then when clear did reverse, quite easily as I hadnt actually turned the steering wheel, any different way .  traffic coming other way had stopped and with lots of waving, thumbs up and shouting thanks out of window, was able to pull in proper site drive. Problem had been, main sign was blocked by gas board's red and white warning barriers, as they were carrying out work along a good section of that road.  sorry for ramble

I always set Sat Nag to Fastest route, It keeps you on the main roads, tryed shortest route on way from Canterbury to Salisbury, found some nice back roads. After about 1 hour and about 30 miles reset to fasted much better, also tryed avoid motorways again back roads. So fastest for me every time now.

Tony
