As for budget - it totally depends on the time of year and what you are looking for - we got a 1994 Pennine Pullman for £160 from ebay - not perfect, but great for what we needed. Obviously heavier and bigger than a trailer tent, but the Rover 200 I had at the time handled it fine. And set up (without the awning) is a matter of minutes.
This is the right time of year to buy, esp if you have somewhere free to store it, as people get rid rather than pay another 6 months storage if they only use 'in season'.
