I think im gonna go with camping gaz as most of our proposed trips are gonna be abroad (mainly france) I live in Dover and work for P&O Ferries so its very easy just to jump on a ferry and disappear for a few days. First trip planned for end of July, long weekend just outside calais near cap grenaz. Not to far so if we forget anything the city of europe and other shops are 20mins away!
Camping Gaz is quite a bit more expensive than calor. Why not consider a calor bottle large enough to last until you get back to Blighty and a small gaz bottle just in case.
------------- There's no such thing as common sense; it there were we'd all have some.

Trouble there is, you will need two regulators and some means of changing over between them. Personally I'd use Camping Gaz and blow the extra expense. It's not really that much, and you expect to splash out a bit on holiday.

I like the odd drink. Five is odd, seven is odd, nine is odd...........
Hi just blagged an empty 907 bottle from the guy down our local refuse tip so saved myself 37.00 quid. A new full bottle outright was gonna cost 49 quid locally whereas now its only gonna cost me 12 quid
It's amazing what people throw away. You often see them at car boot sales for next to nothing as well. A case of one man's rubbish is another man's gold mine.
