Hi, we had a cabanon galaxy and thought it was very good quality with loads of space.

I would recommend you visit Don Valley at Doncaster - last time we were there they had quite a few on display.

I might be wrong but I think CCC (formerly Mitchells) at Wakefield no longer sell trailer tents.

Good luck in your search, Denise.

Hi Bert & Saz

As Cockerspadgers says CCC/Mitchells/GoOutdoors no longer sell trailer tents, havent done for a couple of years.

We bought a Cabanon Saturn from there about 4 years ago. Main cabin had 2 double beds either side and with the 'under bed tents' theoretically you could sleep 8, but we had one child in each under bed pit and used the spare double for general use. Plenty of space with the standard extension, kitchen was OK. We sold ours via Caseys camping in Otley earlier this year. They seem to have a fair turnover of preowned units.

As far as it goes the Saturn was easy to put up, well designed and would give space for 5 even if its wet. We had a 6 seater patio table with our kit, with that in the middle a clothes airer at one side there was room to at the otherside get to the kitchen and cook.

Only down side - the bike rack for it was a bit awkard, but took 4/5 adult bikes without problems.

The unit handled fine for driving over here, less than 60mph, but when being pushed on some of the european motorways towards 80mph was a bit scary.

One thing to watch - tyre pressure - on our trip last year the tyres looked ok - not flat - but the mpg wasn't too good. When I checked them and pumped them up a bit the mpg went from 30 to 38.

Why did we get rid of the Saturn? getting soft in old age - gone for a campervan

Going back to Mitchells - they got flooded the other week the're on a flood clearance sale but last week the queues to pay were about an hour !!! just due to the number of people buying.

Hi,

We also have a Cabanon Jupiter previously having owned a Cabanon Athena.  We liked the quality of the canvas and finish and obviously the space.  The Jupiter is quite versatile as well, because you can have the front flap in different positions depending on your needs.  On our first go at putting it up, it took us 2 hours to put it up and pack it away with a stop in the middle for a drink. Happy Camping

we've got the cabanon stratos, for us it's brill as it has a zipped in ground sheet, no bugs!! plus its dome shaped awning is really good, & there is room for everyone plus 2 dogs! takes us about 1 hour to put up,but if your fitter than us it should take 20 mins!!but each to their own, we got ours fron Don Vally in doncaster, they are very helpful. Good luck with your search.
