Hi Mattieb

I tried colour codeing my poles but it wasn't very good so instead I put white stickers on the poles and wrote on them,   left roof pole, centre roof pole, front left leg etc...   found this a lot better, I also put the kitchen poles in a seperate bag as I had 2 and got the main bit of frame up first then took the kitchen poles out and attached them so not as many poles to get confused with.  mines a trigano but think the principal would be the same.

Good Luck

whats the best way to colour code the poles ?

Coloured insulation tape. Use a different colour for each junction. Then you just have to put the colours together.

Hi Karende,

When you put the awning poles on after putting up the bedding area, to start the framing for the awning you'll be attaching(you know the other big bit of canvas in the bag and not already attached) you will need some steps I'm 5ft11" and i use a small kitchen step, you can get them very cheap in wilkinsons (robert dyas type shop), plus be very careful that you don't snap the hooks in the end of the poles, I managed this with the very middle one and although I got round it this was a worry when taking it down that Iwould tear the canvas with the sharp edge of where it sheared off, I don't if what I do now is correct, but touch wood I have only broke it once and to be fare the camping supplier repaired it free of charge, just be careful not to pull or put to much pressure on them when erecting the structure, I believe I twist mine to one side once their in as I think it was because I left the hook straight and it bent and broke, best thing is to ask your supplier.

Good luck

Gezza

hi there , good choice with the sunncamp . when raising or lowering the poles use a marble to push the push pins in . this stops you  pushing them in to far , puts a bit more presure on them & stops you ripping the tips of your fingers to shreds , but most of all enjoy

Hi Mattieb, we also have a sunncamp 350se (2001) They are brill, we have 4 kids and we have plenty of space! Does take a while to learn how put the awning up quickly, but I do agree with everything above.  Just remember to keep your cool, and don't get too flustered!! Alcohol helps!
