Hello Diamond Lynz, you asked about sites in north Lincs. Well I could recommend Orchard Park at Tuxford. I know it is in Nottinghamshire, but it is just off the A1, and has very friendly owners and clean nice toilets and showers.
I am happy I have rekindled fond memories of 1976 It was sooo hot, I remember the tarmac on the road outside my house melting, really no joke. We didnt care much about suncream in those days so many restless nights with my mum putting moisturiser all over my back and shoulders, poor we mite I was me with red hair too, no-one told us about the ozone layer not that it would have made any difference.
Summer 1976.....20 years old, married less than a year and SWMBO expecting our first rug rat. (Who can remember those unflattering pregnancy smock tops that mothercare had to offer back then?) We drove our 1963 Triumph Herald from the Suffolk Coast to Liverpool in order to catch the "Manx Maid" the newest ferry, over to the Isle of Man. As it was so hot, we travelled overnight to avoid overheating....Mum to Be that is...not the car..... which gave no problems.... bless her.... the car that is...not Mum to Be.
