Folding Campers are a wonderful, half-way point between the canvas and tin tents. As for the tin tent not being camping really - I too belived that to be true but I was wrong. This past week we've been in Cornwall in our tin tent. We woke up to birdsong, the view from my bedroom ( we have a fixed bed van) was straight onto rolling fields to one side and a small copse to the other (I could see this without getting out of bed). The local pheasants (right spelling) were trotting past, all was very bucolic. The only difference that I could see was that the base unit was warm enough to sit in without the blow heater cluttering the floor. Oh, I forgot to mention the warm, on board shower. there's even a warm air blower in the shower room......
If I felt the need I was able to head into the awning for a 'more realistic experience'.
