Hi - I've searched all the forums for info on leisure batteries because we're thinking of getting one for running lighting when we don't have an EHU, however some information I've seen leads me to think that you have to have a special compartment for a battery - there isn't one in the Camplet as the trailer is just the two bed compartments - the living area is all under canvas.

Does anyone know whether leisure batteries have to be contained, and if so, is there a box you can buy to keep the battery in?

HI,,,,,,,,,,, the original  CL frontbox is very small, build one yourself, and get  room for gasbottle and a socalled  marinebattery + many other things, the battery have to be charged from the car when you  are driving, or if you have electric connection at the campground ,have it charged by a little battery charger.

I had i small box similar to the one sold by towsure, I made up a decent cable to bring 12V sockets to inside and put the battery box under the trailer, carrying it in the car

Hi, sorry - please ignore last - finger trouble. I have often carried spare battery in car - I think it only gives off gases when being charged. We are all still here!
