Hi again

You can get a trigano from camperlands near manchester and there is another down south and also a couple in scotland i'm sure the one down south is bucks camping and one in scotland is outriggers. If you can get up to dumfries before monday you can have our 5 month old one for £5800 with extras as we are getting £6100 for trade in but can get bit off without .

If you think of anything else you need to know just ask no matter how trival.

Give Mark Saunders a ring on 02476641524, he works for the main importers, Trigano U.K. at Nuneaton, he might be able to help with a supplier in the south.  I bought mine from Home Counties Camping, Shepperton, a couple of years ago but he doesn't now do new Trigano's.  As Gerry said, any more info, just ask.

We spent just over £4000 on the smallest Trigano fc, the Randger 415dl, three years ago and are besotted with it!  The smaller size suited us (just 2 f us) because we store it in Mum's garage without a problem and the 2 double beds are enormous!  if we want a really good night's sleep, we have one each - bliss!  The Ten-cate canvas is brilliant in all weathers and we haven't given the upmarket Pennines and Conways a thought on our many fab outings.  The only minor problem we've had has been with the lock, which is a bit of a faff to open sometimes - not the best quality.  But an oiling usually sorts it out and my hubby reckons it would be no prob to change the lock if we decide to. We've slept 4 adults and a dog quite happily in the Randger with the awning up for extra living space, and YES, we have packed it slightly wet and left it with no probs.  Just keep a long handled squeezy on board to give it a dry beforehand or wait for a dry hour which is usually ample time for it to dry.  Vive la difference!  Go for a Trigano!  We never stop smiling when we're in ours!  Happy camping!  Dawn & Rob 

We bought a 92 Dandy Destiny (6 berth) last year and so far have spent 4 weeks in it and are very impressed with its quality and value for money.  They do seem to last forever as there are many around that are 25 years old and still looking in good condition.

We had some serious rain in Wales in the last couple of weeks and had not a single drip or concern about leaks even with leaning up against the walls, which is very reassuring!  They are also insulated and ours has the great floor gas heater and you can be really cosy even in the winter - good for toasty toes!

We took ours down soaking wet yesterday and not sure when we'll open it up but it's good to know it will be fine until we get time to do it and give it a clean(!)  Because of our work situation we often go away for just a single night and come back to lots of stuff to do, so it wouldn't be possible for us to dry out after each time away.  I think we've only folded it down dry a couple of times!  Yesterday I got an unexpected shower when my husband tipped the water off the roof and didn't know I was standing next to it - he says I have a good loud scream!

We have no internal loo cubicle but if we camp without the awning I have made up a little tent to put around our Elsan inside for nighttime use.  Otherwise it goes in the awning in a toilet tent.  3 double beds but they're not huge - about 6 feet by 4 feet each.  Depends how well your girls get on!  The inside space must be around 17 feet by 6 feet I guess.  We always use an awning for longer stays.  Lots of people use motorhome awnings with them, rather than the orginal Dandy ones, and you can get extra bedrooms in these.

Many say you can erect these on your own, but I prefer not to attempt this.  However with two of us it takes about 10 minutes.  Sounds like you have lots of helpers though!

Dandy's come up on ebay from time to time - why don't you go and look at one of those?  We possibly paid a lot less than you are thinking of paying - less than about £2000 for everything we needed - but feel we've got something that will last us for years to come.  I guess it depends on your budget.

We don't have an fitted fridge but I've just got a 3 way one on the floor.  The newer taller Dandy's do and the latest ones have a loo too but they're way out of our league price wise!

Take your time and the right thing will come along for you.

The dealer selling it perhaps doesn't know that you just put drop the table down to make a third double bed.

The Trigano is a really good make and I don't think for one moment it is a down market version of an FC. I think we all buy according to our budget and needs. I think Pennine are wonderful but knowing that I would only use my FC for short stopovers etc would not be worth the investment to be sat in my garage most of the year.

So buy what you like at the price that is right for you. Look at all models and makes and more than anything enjoy your new FC
