I would still leave any cash etc locked up inside my glove box in the car at least it is alarmed and the doors double locked although i can still see the appeal of one of those safes but its just as easy to lock stuff in car and also not very often that you are not allowed to park car next to your unit anyway.

The most secure way would be 'through the floor' but using Coach Bolts, IE, bolts that have a rounded smooth head showing on the outside, accessible, end. The end with the nut on it is inside the safe and cannot be tampered with.

Most household safes have bolt holes on the back and the bottom so that you choose which way you want to bolt it.

On ordinary one can be laid on its back and still bolted through the floor.
