Hi Hazza,
We are also in Huddersfield, I bought my folding camper from someone off ebay, and we love it. Mitchells don't really have anything in the folding camper line, you might see one if your lucky.
I put an advert in the Examiner on the back page, wanted folding camper, but only got tons of people offering me trailer tents, but I thought it was worth a try.
If you are going for a folding camper check out what sort of layout they have and do you research first before you buy.
Camperlands in Manchester had a few used folding campers, and they have a large area with new trailer tents.I think your wife will see trailer tents and folding campers in a new light after going their.

Hi there
We brought a camp-let concorde on sunday at the NEC. We first went on the monday mainly for research. Had seen a few tts and thought Sunncamp 350se was the one for us - until we got to NEC. Was there for pretty much the whole day and kept going back to ask more questions and have a go a opening them up, etc.
We liked the look of combicamps but with two young kids who like jumping on beds we both thought against it. The fcs were really out of our price and as we only have a golf didn't want to tax the engine too much when towing - all the extra stuff you need adds up.
Anyway, had a demo from one of the guys at camperlands and couldn't believe how easy it was to put up the camp-let concorde. It had gas assist which made it so much easier and was also moveable by one person as well. We have never camped before so we wanted something that is really easy to put up and down, waterproof and store for the winter and this one really ticked all our boxes.
All I can say is just keep looking at as many as you can. It makes a big difference to see them set up rather than just a picture. Pre loved is also a good place to look too. Ebay does have lots on there but some do have high prices. Ours, brand new with most of the extras, came to just under £5000. As they last, we hope our kids get some use out of it in the future with their young families.
The help and advice from fellow campers on this forum has been fantastic.
