Take a look at the khyam rigidome motordome - I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge job to either sew on the right length of zip onto the connecting fabric, or else sew on a bit more fabric and then the right length of zip. We have a wonderful lady not far from us that does tent repairs and alterations. We're not ready to go out and buy a £400 motorhome awning and pay for alterations right now, but if I did have the money it certainly looks like it might be an answer. Especially as the rigidomes are quick erect and pretty lightweight. It certainly looks like something you could put up on your own without any very tall and strong men around!
Let me know what you think - and yes, maybe we should start up in business!!!
We,'ve used a movelite freestanding awning with our pathfinder, the last three weekends away, just enough room for the table and a couple of chairs, with room to move around.Being freestanding its like a dome tent style of construction, and can be positioned against the camper for a snug fit with the tunnel part and the supplied storm straps over the camper and secured on the transit cover holders.I've taken some photo's of it ,to put on the gallery, but can't get it to work so will ask one of the lads to sort it.Cheers John.
