Names change but often the product remains the same. For example Sri Lanka used to be called Ceylon, Myanmar used to be called Burma and Iceland used to be called Bejams.

We did not fancy E-bay and were wondering where to sell our Pennine folding camper, Pullman 535 SE and whats it worth with all the extras as we are looking to up grade to a motor home.

I know what you are saying about Ebay, but I have just bought a Conway Countryman off there and I am soooo pleased with it,

Unfortunately some people have bad experiences with Ebay, but I must say apart from one minor blip in 5 years(which was resolved quickly) I have never had a problem myself, People will be looking now for the spring time so you could be losing a valuable source of selling by not using it.

Good luck wherever you decide to sell.

I must be one of the lucky ones. I went to my nearest trailer tent dealer to look at a number of secondhand models. There was a Pennine Fiesta at £1,700. I eventually bought one off E Bay,same year, same condition a few weeks later for £850 and it had loads of extras not mentioned on the EBay sale ie 2x Gas bottles 110 ah battery, EHU lead and, with the awning, an end extension. That was 2 years ago and I've never looked back. Only set back was it was 100 miles away, but we got booked into a site near to where we bought it, and had a long weekend away before towing it back home

You need to view BEFORE you bid, once you bid you have entered a legally binding contract if you win the auction.
That is NOT the time to argue over the price or condition as you have already bought the unit by winning bid. Two people have tried that with me in the past, both were sued and both cases were won by me. To suggest that people act wrongly is not helpful to anyone.

thats quite interesting,

what were they sued for and how much did you win and why...?

i would have thought the costs and time would make it not worthwhile..?

Hi all

if you could pick up a trailer tent or folding camper at the right price on e bay or wherever, you could have the canvas replaced  and if the trailer was good, you have a good as new unit for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

I bought a fantastic Raclet Quickstop off of ebay last year in super almost as new condition so to suggest that every auction is a con is a bit much. Go view if you are local but I imagine that to be impracticable for most buyers so bid on items from buyers with good feed back
