tornado dryer.  We also use it at home to dry the clothes.   Cheap, packs down to sleeping bag size.   Taking it with us to Poole on saturday with the portable washer for a week in static at rockley park.   its also very light if you are worried about weight.

I guess this would quickly pay for itself if you have young kids and need to use the laundry facilities on site frequently...

It not only saves money at site, we can swim twice or more a day and have the towels and kit dried out between sessions.   Coats are dried in a breeze and if the bed is wet overnight due to my mans problem, we can have the bag dried out in no time ready for the next accident.

I was joking, I'm on medication now!

But i bought it to help out at home also,  it saves money at home, the home dryer is heavy on the electric bill, we can do a quick wash and have the stuff like my uniform and the kids school uniforms done in an hour.  Double useage.   Good bit of kit, highly recommend to any camper who has space to store and carry..

The washing machine is good also, but don't think it heats the water,  we use on site hot water in a jerry can to fill it and switch it on and away it goes for 15 minute cycle.   QED!

I hadedn ayya

That would be cruelty to animals, but I doubt they would fit unless they are the little ones.

so I can't dry my lab and rottie in there then!  Shame as they are the wetest problem we have when camping.  Not done a wash on holiday in years now.  Really it was only when the kids were little and were going through 3 t shirts/shorts and 3 pairs of socks a day (mainly melting icecream and dust from football games!)  with just two adults now it is a lot less messy

Thats my current drama,  kids, who would have them, camping would be so simple without them.   We dont take the Washer and Tornado on all trips,  I just let them run around like chav's for the weekend with Icecream and chocolate face's.  We only take it when we need the iron and ironing board .

Ahhhhhh!!!!!! Lobey,

Just spotted you showing off your (Fluffy) Matching Designer Cushions again.

(Did they come as part of the deal with the FC, or were they bought separately  )

yeap, the dogs will fit just nicely, you can also get your smalls in unless you are a commando man!  I personally cut and tuck and that saves on smalls.

Used the tornado all week at Rockley Park, Poole.   Nice site and their statics are kept up to date and clean.   Highly recommend.  They appear to allow folding campers and obviously convertible vans, but its very expensive per pitch per night.

Hope the dogs enjoy the tornado!

We usually take ours to France/Spain/Italy ... so generally dealing with warmer weather ...

Things we have found useful:

1000w kettle
George Forman grill ... just replaced with a Carri Chef Skottel Gas barbecue
Easy reclining chairs
Extra folding tables for food prep etc.
Got three plastic three drawer units from B&Q to provide extra wardrobe space ... i.e. one per person ... keeps gear separate!
A hanging 'pockets' sorter
An electric 'tennis racket' insect zapper
Bikes and Inflatable boats
A table top fridge ... the supplied one is never enough ... especially for drinks in hot weather.

Hope that helps!

Hi Coast Walkers, We had just the one cushion when we had the wee van;-
Mull in the demo van

but as you can see, we only had 2 single beds 4" apart.

At night the shoes "slept" under one bed and the "cushion" was supposed to sleep under the other bed but for some reason prefered to sleep behind my knees.

When the second "cushion" came along, one weekend in the van was enough to convince us that we were clutching the final straw and we started looking for sonething bigger but that we were still able to tow with our prefered smaller cars.

The FC is an answer made in heaven both from our own and Mull & Coll's point of view.
Then again, I now waken up with one cushion behind my knees and the other on top of my pillow. In some ways this is surprising because at hime they sleep in a cage.
