You definitely did the right thing getting one with a full awning. Yes they take a bit of time but the heavyweight canvas is well worth the effort as it provides another great living area for stays of 3 days or more I would say and they are a lot more sturdy than the lightweight porch awnings which can be pretty noisy in windy or even breezy wether (parents have one on their motothome)

Well done newcamper95. Now your going to be another one able to enjoy the outdoor life and the freedom it offers in your new outdoors home on wheels.You will love it.

So glad you got the awning also whether you use it or not as some are big enough not to and others are not so. Also depends how many humans without pets go in it. Ah! should I said how many pets with their humans go with it. Then the awning will be an asset. But you have to actually have one in the first place. Glad you went that route.If you ever sell it you will get more for it with awning than ever you would without one.Have a party inside an awning it is so big.See it now all the chairs round the outside of the inside. Table loaded with goodies. Yup! sounds & smells great.

Sorry for a late reply, but have been away for a spot of Camping ourselves.

We put up our awning this time, it took the two of us an hour of struggling in windy conditions,(in between talking to the Campsite owner) we didn't use it much though and the two of us, two chairs and a table still rattled around in our large awning. Too big for just the two of us, but useful if we had family with us. Using it makes the inside of the camper much darker, we only just managed to take it back down again in windy conditions before the heavy showers arrived. Next time we go for a 4 day stay we'll leave the awning behind.

Hi  & thank you Coast walkers I am back from my Sept. jaunt today. It waited till the the last night for the damp fog to awaken to.So we made the most of it instead of getting home early we cleaned as much as we could ready for putting it away for the winter and then managed to leave about 1.20pm; had a good run home as the shoppers at Lakeside & Bluewater we had a fantastic run  home till we got near and our water mains they are doing on our main road are still ongoing; but not too much traffic. Then we had the 39ft boggy lawn to get it over . But we had a man stop his car, come and help Bob push it right inside, then instead of going inside on of the houses he stopped by. He got in a drove on. So he stopped to help us and nothing else. That was unusual in today's world b ut these people are still around as you can see. We had a mum & her daughter help us out when we were leaving in Sept. She pushed it so hard that I had to get out of the way as I was on 2 crutches & nearly fell over she was so fast moving. Strong woman, but again we had help.

Had a great time in West Runton, so much to see and go that we cancelled Polstead site and stayed another 2 weeks before going onto our last site at Hertford. So will make a point of going to Polstead another time.

The temps had dropped dramatically at night by the last weekend and rosy noses and cheeks we had.But the days were sunny and warm. Now it is home to roost till next spring, not looking forward to being cell  stir crazy in winter months. Now I need to find out what is the best way to remove birds poop on the canvas without damaging the canvas to have to re-proof it when we do not have to do so.Got reading and info to find.

We have managed to get the adapeted awning for our Fiesta from Lisa. I thought she had  not got one as it was a long time in between us affording one of her adaptions. But although we had it up and it was great. The winjd at West Runton CC& C site was a bit too much so we whipped it down as the pole was pushed right down to nearly the floor so it could well of snapped in half. It was so quick to get down and shove under one of the skirts till it was a safe to fold.But well will be looking forward to this smaller lightweight awning next year so we can keep our chairs and my wheelchair inside without always having to fold it up and into the car. Too heavy for my Bob to keep doing.

Roll on next year. I know I should not wish my life away, but I just want to get back out into the fields etc again. Already fed up with bricks and mortor.
