Littler etc.
You're right, this is a manufacturing fault and should be repaired by Trigano. We do plan on contacting them to detail what happened etc. BUT, to be honest, it's mid May, we're doing a trial run in my parents garden next weekend then down to Wicklow for the June long weekend and then to France the end of June/beginning of August. To start getting into a battle with Trigano now would possibly mess all of that up - especially as there doesn't seem to be a Trigano agent with the facility/expertise to repair it in Dublin and we'd get into the logistical nightmare of returning it either to the vendor or to Trigano themselves.
It does need to be raised with the manufacturers but as we're not going to return it to them or their agents for all the reasons listed I don't see us getting too much joy. Also, the whole excitement has been dampened enough at this stage. We're lucky, we have a way forward which won't cost too much and will hopefully leave us with a better TT - we just want to get on with things and enjoy ourselves
