Well the Weekend from Hell is going to be over this week. We collect our new Trailer Tent this week, a Trigano Galleon GL UK Special Edition (2013 model) from Camperlands. They have offered to throw in a few extras for us too, Trigano front storage box, spare wheel and carrier, electric hookup with RCD, and an under bed tent too.

Went to have a look at it today and really impressed with it, especially how easy it looks to put up. Had watched the video on youTube, but to see it in person is totally different. Compared to the Sunncamp that we had it looks and absolute breeze.
One of my earlier questions about the tap on the sink was answered, it does have a tap, but it is not plumbed in or wired up, that is an optional extra. I don't think we will bother for what it is worth.

The other thing we got to see was Camperlands new premises which officially open to the public on the 15th January. They were all hard at work getting everything ready, but it certainly seems a lot more suitable and fit for purpose than their old premises. We got to have wander around while waiting for the Trailer Tent guy to get back in, and I was very impressed.

The only problem is now that we get to collect the trailer tent this week, but cant use it until the weather improves! I am beginning to feel like a kid stood outside a closed sweet shop with a pocket full of pennies (well pound coins is probably more accurate these days). To take the edge off slightly we are planning on going to the Caravan and Camping show at the NEC in February lol.

I know i have said it before, but thank you to everyone on the forum for their help and assistance with all our questions.

You will probably find the zig zips quite stiff at first, take your time and rub a little bit of candle wax on them.

Reminds me of waiting to pick our new unit up this time last year.

Best regards,

Tony.

Thanks for the tip Tony. Will give that a go if they seem stiff.

Are there any full erection instructions for the Galleon anywhere? I know there is that video but its not massively in depth

To be quite honest the YouTube Trigano video does seem to do quite a good job. You will probably find that after a few trips you might find a way that suits you better.

It's just about getting comfy with the unit and bedding your self into it. It took us a year and a few trips to feel very comfy with our old Chantilly and have found that it took a couple of trips with the new Olympe last year, to find a way that worked for us.

Just remember take your time and enjoy.

Best regards,

Tony.
