Hi Campers, just been out and bought a sunncamp 500, year 2001

However the gentleman i bought it from did not have enough space to open it all up , only the main part. I am new to this and this is my first trailer tent, i see it as a cheap holiday with limited income and 2 young children to entertain. Can i ask have i made the right choice as i dont quite know what it looks like when fully erected? does anyone own one of these who can tell me about it. i got in the deal a 20 meter 240v thing, table and chairs all for £800 , it really looks like new in great condition.

I would be interested in the size when fully erected in comes with a suncanopy too

he also gave me a bike carrier and A frame that fixes to trailer

thanks for any info, as i say its my first ever trailer tent and hope i have got a good trailer tent to start me off

Hey thanks thats great, wow thats big!! is that the suncanopy on the front or something else?? my kids will love it! excited now, will probably take me the whole weekend to put it up!!

Oh and one other thing will i have problems getting a pitch as its quite a biggun! or is that not a problem

We had a sunncamp 520se last year very much like the one in the pictures. We never had any problems getting a site despite the size. We had lots of people come and admire it and comment on the size. If you do not have a diagram of how the poles fit see if you can get one, it will help immensely. I am afraid we did not keep ours when we sold it. Oh and the only reason we sold was because we had so much fun camping we bought a caravan so we could still go in the winter.  The front part of our 520 se could be arranged in different ways, you could put the canvas across the front, zip it together in an L shape so form a porch or zip the canvas further back and make the sun porch. If you have a dealer near you go and look at the ones on display.

Oh, and following on from Val, if you struggle with instructions - post again on here as lots of people swap/copy instructions for eachother on here....all part of our fabulous community!!!!
