....of bone dry, sunwarmed canvas when you take the winter covers off your TT after a long, wet, cold winter. Bliss!! Is there any nicer smell than real canvas in the sunshine?

I was checking for mice too, since the Camargue has been sitting in the corner of my friend`s farmyard this last winter. Nope. Oh joy....

Off to buy a Universal Sun Canopy from TVS now...I didn`t want to do it before I checked the TT, otherwise that would have been tempting fate, no? But now we seem set fair for five weeks of French camping and sunshine and nice food, who-ho!

Not heard of these universal canopies, how do they attach or do they just overlap etc, and how much are they.

The Universal ones tie onto the front of your own awning...on my Conway Camargue and similar with stub canopies, there`s D-rings sewn at the front top corners and on the apex for this purpose. They`re made by....TVS, of course! £125 currently, plus postage.
Someone else here (Welshmark) who also owned a Camargue bought one last year and posted a pix of his complete outfit on his profile. I saved the pix, so I`ll put it up on mine for a wee while so you can see it. He said it matched the `89 Camargue colours exactly!

There you go...pix uploaded. His is the upper Camargue with sun canopy attached, mine is the lower one without the canopy. Looks good, no?

TVS do all sorts of canopies, often model specific. Worth asking about. I don`t think that particular one would fit a FC though.

What they can do for you is - if you should so wish, put a zip matching the awning zip so that you can use it without the awning and then you could also do, as I did with ours (now JanP's,check out her Gellery Images) fasten some cotton tape on the inner edge and tie it to the poles.
