My minds ever changing...

Seen a stratos in the flesh, but as yet not time to see a camp-let. However,Im getting the feeling the cmp-letwould be quicker to put up than the stratos? I would only consider the camp-let with added awning of course, and this would add time to put one up.

Which one is of better quality....preferences?....

Regards....

...you really need to see the camp-let in the flesh - camperlands do a really good demo of them and let you have a go at putting it up and down. As far as I know both are very good quality, if you're going for new the 07 camplet has gas assisted opening to help even more...

ooh, choices choices, we have a Cabanon Stratos and LOVE IT but I must admit, I saw the Camplet Savannah a few weeks after we got the Stratos and thought it looked lovely, (not seen it in the flesh mind!)  Looks easier to put up than the Stratos, as you have the whole living area in one go, rather than just the bedroom part - you can manage with the Stratos without the awning but not for cooking etc -

All I can say is that the Stratos is just lovely, there are lots of threads on here about it and one by Mark ? in the Features/Tips thread.   The quality is outstanding.

Thanks Jackie

Yeh, the missus and daughter chose the stratos in the campshop before Id even got to it!

It is a big living area with a very large awning...just hoping its not too difficult/long to put up?

Not difficult at all - the cabin a total doddle, the awning easy after a few goes, but it takes a bit of muscle power (and a step if you are short like me) - we now leave the groundsheet zipped on the awning and go inside the whole thing to zip it on/put the zip in poles in, then jiggle, found this much quicker.

We should arrange a Stratos meet one of these days, there are so many of us on here now....

Like you I liked the Stratos, went to the NEC last year just to have a look. Went up to Camperlands in Feb to have another look and came away after ordering the Camp-let Savanne.

Last weekend was our first outing.

The Camp-let Savanne was very easy to put up for a couple of novices, but possibly let down by a the small living area compared to the Stratos, also the added sun shade for the savanne with front & side is screens is not a nice fitting just tied up.

So maybe should have gone for the Startos.

Hi all
Well I called in at camperlands on monday to buy the khyam annexe for my tent but was also intrested in the trailer tents and just arrived in time as a couple who had brought the Camp-let Savanne and getting the run though so I watched for a bit then had the full talk and demo on the range for me I liked the concorde as it was easy to put up even if you brought the extra's the sun canopy and 1 side panel , The Royal comes with an optional awaning to much for me to put up by yourself, I did look at the stratos thought it was lovley but there again even going with my daughter did wonder about putting it up .
Only problem for me was where do you dry it out if you don't have a garage , I have a large garden but no good if its raining .
The concorde with annexe , sun canopy and 2 sides ,plus large box as the A frame is longer now on all of them worked out about £4500 .
I was so taken with it I forgot to buy what I went for lol
ps I saw a second hand combi camp for £250 needed a bit of work but they had quite a few second hand trailers

I saw for the 1st time yesterday one of Stratos set up I thought it was lovly too, but it had no kitchen and I know they have bought one out with  a kitchen now but lifting them on and off is a nitemare.

So my heart is still set on a combi camp with a kitchen.

I saw some wheels that you could fit to the kitchen on ebay - would make life easier, just lower it down, slide it off and wheel it - all supposing the ground was flat of course!!!!!!!  Jackie
