Folks,

I'm getting my the awning zip on my canvas repaired and the repairer has told me that it needs to be removed from the trailer. It's an NR Nova TT, the first one I've had and I've not got a clue. Has anyone ever done this job and can share the experience with me? I'm worried that I can possibly get it off but never get it back on again ;o) Any helpful advice appreciated. I've got a wee very tatty manual with it that doesn't give me any clue.

Thanks in Advance

I don`t know about the Nova, but the cabin canvas on my Conway is just tied onto the frame by tape ties. I`ve never actually taken it off but I know it`s just a question of undoing all of these and lifting the canvas off. Similarly to put it back on I`d just pop the canvas back over the frame and tie it on again, with loose loops so that it can slip freely on the poles. Boring fiddy job, but not difficult.

Incidentally, I don`t know if this is of interest to you but there is a TT dealer on Ebay selling spares from a NR Nova...obviously taken from a second-hand one he`s broken up, but ......it`s here anyway. Even if you needed a piece that`s not listed, it might be worth your while asking him if he has one.

There`s also another listing for a NR Nova, with some nice pictures. Looks like the cabin is very similar to the Conway design so hopefully the canvas will lift off as easily.

i took the canvas off our trigano for the winter and put it back on before easter. it was quite easy and just fastens round the frame with press studs. if you have a digital camera take some pictures of the bits you undo then when you put it back together you can check back with the pics.

Guys,

Thanks for the info, good idea about the digital camera. Nothing for it but to tackle the job tomorrow. Hope it doesn't rain. Val, thanks for the link as well. Can't wait to get it sorted and get out in the wild blue yonder.
