I feel so irresponsible for asking this question.

I have suddenly realised I don't know how to change a tyre if I got a puncture on my transcamper [old model]!!

I bought it second hand last year and headed off to Norfolk from West Yorkshire and hadn't even given it a thought!

Where do you keep the spare?. do you jack it up like a car, if so, do i need a special jack? I feel so embarrased, please help!17    Maria.

Your best bet is to buy a can of Tyre weld, Its an aerosol can that should for most punctures get you home or if your a member of the AA ect. phone them up and get them to change the tyre for you.

My spare is kept in my fridge box where its handy to get to if I ever need it.

Thank you!   I am a member of the AA but I didn't realise they would deal with probs involving a trailer ,I thought it was just the car I was driving. Tyre weld sounds a handy thing to carry. Another thing to add to my rapidly growing list of 'must haves'. I don't have a fridge box so anything else to carry will have to go in my already packed to the limit astra boot.

Is it legal to put passengers on a roof rack?

regarding the trailer or caravan being at fault you normaly have to pay extra? we pay approx £20 a year more for trailer/caravan recovery as long as it is towable.
