Hi

i am looking for a mattress from a folding camper, does anyone have one for sale or know of a folding camper breakers that might have one,

My parents have a sunncamp trailer tent but the mattress is just thin foam that squash flat when they lay on it, my father is disabled with a back problem and finds it uncomfortable, they have tried a mattress out of my folding camper which is much firmer and doesnt squash flat and they found it much more comfortable so they would like to replace their foam matress for one the same as you get in an fc, only trouble is we dont know where to start looking, any ideas would be appreciated

thanks

chrissy

Hi Chrissy,

The only thing I could recommend is perhaps purchasing a 'cut to fit' piece of foam from someplace like http://www.efoam.co.uk/. That's what my folks did for their caravan.

Hope this helps!

Claire.

Why not contact the folding camper makers? - Pennine may be able to help you or put you in touch with suppliers/manufacturers. My other suggestion would be to contact a bed makers - one of the ones which sells the less expensive ones - Highgate beds in Dewsbury/Batley 'springs' to mind (excuse the pun).  Some of the matresses are sprung but thinner.  The thing whcih occurs to me is the folding down of the trailer tent beds with a sprung matress - is this an option? the other thought was - had they tried the inflatable velour covered matress on top of or underneath the foam one?

We added a thick foam overlay to the foldng camper mattress for comfort and it is great. You can also get memory foam overlays. Be careful about choosing one from a folding camper. The bed dimensions on our folding camper are bigger than we had on our trailer tent. 17

some people swear by futon mattresses, they are quite lumpy, but i gather once you get used to them they are really comfy

hi

Try Tent valeting services in Bolton - they do mail order. They supply new mattresses for Conway folding campers, they might fit yours? They have a website but better phoning them they are very helpful.

we have a sunn camp 350 tt  and use memory foam matress toppers king size over the top of the existing matresses and seat pads  this makes them really comfy.

we carry these on top of the trailer and fits in fine under the cover without being folded
