Hi, I am new to this site and am after a bit of advice.

I have been offered a free combi camp trailer tent, which is apparently in need of a bit of TLC, it has been described as a bit worn and leaky!  All the information I have been given is that it has 2 large double beds, one of which is on the trailer.  It has an awning, is brown and cream with an orange stripe in the curtains and takes about 2 minutes to unfold.

I am going to have a look at it next week but wondered if anyone on here could possibly tell me what model it may be from my rather sketchy description and also give me an idea of how much it would cost to have it waterproofed.

Many thanks, Sarah

Sarah, if you get in touch with Siggi at Mangine, he knows just about every model of Combicamp from the 1960's to currebt models.

Mangine

Reproofing cans are about £8-10 each depending where you shop and it could take up to 4 or 5 cans easily plus the awning.

However! If that is all that needs doing, you are a lucky lady who will then have a fabby Combicamp for very little money!!!

I loved mine and miss it!

From your description it sounds a bit like mine, which is a 1980s Easy. The trailer unfolds in 2 mins and provides a huge double bed in the trailer and a hard floor the same size from the roof. This can be used as a living area or a mattress or camp bed can be used in it to give another bed.

I used Travis Perkins Water Seal (about £15 for a 5 lite can) to waterproof mine and it took 2.5 cans to do the whole of the camper and the awning. I had to re-stitch some bits on the awning where it was coming apart but if the canvas is holed you will need to get some canvas patches and sew them on before re-proofing.

Follow the link in Smutty Nutty's post and you will be able to get any help you need from fellow CombiCampers, plus see some photos of them.

Have been to see it today and it appears to be a combi camp easy plus.  It has a second bedroom 'extension' at floor level.  I am sooo excited.  Hope to be able to pick it up during the week.

If anyone has an instruction manual or similar they could copy for me I would be ever so grateful!

HI......... thanks, got your mail, but can't see any pics, if you are going to impregnate  DON'T just buy small spray cans, you will need 1-2  5 litre cans  for  tent and awning, get yourself a 1-2 litres flower mist sprayer, the kind you pump up and then spray, hold a piece of cardboard along the windows to prevent spray there.

Henning..........
