Has anyone got any good ideas for pushing in those small buttons that lengthen/shorten the poles.  I have broken so many fingernails trying to do this. We were recommended trying the end of a hook extractor but this quite often just pushed the button right into the pole and we had to fish it out again.  I have tried wearing gloves but it needs something better than just brute force.  Any suggestions please?

Back of a teaspoon. Or a metal thimble.

HI

We have got 2 special tool things.  It is a wooden handle with a specially designed metal piece, that fits just right. Sorry we were given them when we purchased the tent off ebay, but they are fantastic, try the sunnflair/sunncamp web site and then ring them direct, as I am sure they are designed for this very purpose.  If they can't help try a trailer tent retailer like camperlands, but try sunncamp first.

Amanda

ps if you find them please post

We had the same tool as well but gave it with the tent when we sold it. We got it from Camperlands so give their website a try.

Thank you all for your help.  That tool that comes from Camperlands sounds great.  I am going to give them a ring.  The thimble sounds a good idea too (tend not to put it down and lose it!)

try 01245 329933 and give sunncamp a ring direct, much cheaper than going through camperlands if they have what you want, I ordered new poles at 5pm on Tuesday and they were delivered 8am on thursday, the staff were all really helpful.

This was the one thing we hated about our 400se. Never found a way round it. I could never push them in and had to let OH do the whole of the bed section.

There were a few stiff buttons on mine when i first got it.

I moved the little clips inside slightly and, so far so good.. ;-)
