Hi.

I am really interested in the Cabanon Neptune. A little over priced in my opinion but its so nice I WANT ONE.

The only thing that put me off was the PVC groundsheet. I really dont like them. You cant use it without it either.

I thought most campsites frowned upon any groundsheet that isnt breathable. That why I just got an ecomat. I really dont like the feel of PVC and its a big part of the tent. It makes it worse the fact that its beige PVC. I can see it getting dirty within a few hours. I know it can be cleaned down after.

What is anyone elses views on PVC?

They told me at the showroom that it couldnt be used without the grounsheet, but it is zipped in, although I think it goes up the sides aswell.

Anyone else been looking at it?

I have a neptune and when I purchased it was told that there "will" be a breathable groundsheet option for it for sale later on this year .

For now, just put up with the PVC and use an outwell tent carpet on top of it.

Great news.

They should have told me that. (If they knew)

I will wait for it to come out then I will get one. I looked at your pictures. Just makes me want one even more. - note colour of writing.

We are going for the Cabanon Neptune now. Just wondered how easy it was to put up (in your opinion) and how long it takes you.

It only seems to have two long poles/arches. How does it all come together?

I would appreciate an owners point of view rather than a salesman who will always be one sided.

Hi, we bought a cabanon stratos last year.  We have asked Cabanon about breathable groundsheets which they are considering bringing out.  So far though ours hasn't been a problem but we do check with the site before booking.  Would rather have a breathable and will definitely invest when they are available.
