5.00 - 10c

Does anyone know what the psi should be for these tyres? They are on my Comanche Arizona. There isn't really any other info written on the tyres other than 'tube type'

Have looked at the tyre pressure tables recommended on other threads but cant find this tyre size.

Any Ideas?

husband's in the tyre trade & said that it depends on the weight of the trailer!  If you know the weight, then he can find out the correct psi required!

 Have just looked at your gallery pics, husband said that if the tyres are on that, then that can't be the right size. 10 " is an old mini or trailer wheel so couldn't be on your van.

He said are you sure it doesn't say 5.00 x 15 or 16 ?? (He's been in the trade for 22 years so there's not alot about tyres he doesn't know!)

Hi Sam - the tyres I'm on about are on my trailer tent NOT my campervan    Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Just posted a pic of the trailer tent folded down on to my gallery pics. The maximum gross weight is 395 kg. Got the spare tyre out just to double check and it also says 5.00 - 10

The only thing is that the spare says tubeless while the two main tyres say tube type. Anyway guess thats another problem!!! 

This could all be academic as I've just looked at all three tyres and the only one that isn't bald is the spare. A friend wanted to borrow it for the bank holiday but I daren't risk it - think I may need totally new tyres  

So much for my nice relaxing Sunday!!!

p.s.  Would still like to know the correct pressure.

husbands just got in from work (yes, lots of people buy tyres on a sun morn!) and said if the tyres need changing, best bet would be to change them to 'steel radials' (the one's you have on there are a very old size and very difficult and expensive to get).

The size you need to convert them to is 145/10 (mini tyres) far more readily available and alot cheaper! You would need to check whether the wheels are tube-less or tube type, once the tyres are off the wheel, as to whether they would need tubes or not.

 You can still use the same wheels just change tyres. should pay around £28 ish each. Best pressure to run them at would be about 28 psi.

Thanks so much Sam - your a     I was wondering why my tyre size wasn't listed anywhere. My trailer tent is Spanish made so maybe thats why it has non standard tyres. Just one last thing - don't want to push my luck!   

Will the 28psi work for the existing tyres?

 No worries! Husband said drop psi down to 24, should be fine.

Good luck with sorting tyres, hubby is quite handy when it comes to stuff like that! (knows alot about exhausts too!)
