just purchased Pennine Fiesta 1997 model. It has no spare  wheel. The two wheels it has are Dunlop SP10size 155/80R13 and after phoning tyre centre was informed that these were probably car tyres.  I tel. Barrons who advised that I check chassis  for make and contact manufacturer (AL-KO Kober). As yet no reply from manufacturer. Does anyone have any info. on what tyres should be on this camper and also where a spare can be purchased from. Does anyone know if these tyres are suitable for this model which has a gross weight of 750kg. If there are any owners of the same camper same year, what tyres do you have on your camper?

Thanks,

The main consideration is the load on each tyre.  Assuming your Fiesta weighs 750Kg, then that is 375Kg on each wheel.  All you have to be certain of is that the tyre is rated for this loading.  This info is encoded on the sidewall tyre markings.  A competent tyre dealer will be able to decode this for you.

There is no such thing as 'Caravan Tyres'.  There are 4 ply radials fitted to cars and 'Reinforced' 6/8 ply tyres. Reinforced tyres can carry much higher loads and are therefore fitted to commercial vehicles and heavier caravans where each wheel is carrying a greater load.

So subject to being rated to carry 375Kg or more, any 155/80R13 tyre is suitable

You can buy a spare wheel (just the steel bit) from a caravan accessory shop--check the offset is the same as yours--ordinary car tyres will be ok--same size as my Eriba--got Michelins for £40 each 'budget' tyres would have been £30--if there is any doubt about the age of your tyres, I would replace them--more that 6 yrs old & you could get a blowout---
