Hi
We didn't camp at new year but did manage 5 days in early February this year. It was our first time in our f/c and the coldest day was minus 5. We packed loads of layers and had the heater on for most of the time.
Get some hot water bottles, they come in handy.
We will probably be away too over the Xmas period, we are looking forward to it.
