Hi, we have a Penine Pathfinder and would like to fit a powrwhhel caravan mover to it as our lane is very narrow and no room to manouevre out of our driveway.
Has anyone fitted one of these before and if so do I just require the standard mover or does it need to be a custom fitted one. I have been asked to measure chassis depths etc, but have got a bit confused- pleas help
Hi i have a powerwheel fitted to my conway crusader, the only thing different was it had to be fitted to the rear of the wheels, instead of standard fitting to the front of the wheels , due to the chassis on the floor around the toilet area having extra supports getting in the way for clearance , the mover is standard kit ,with some drop plates added which the fitter brought with him , have found it brilliant for getting up my drive and leveling on site , takes all the worry out of returning home and negiotiating driveway
Thanks for that, I have spoken to Penine and they said its a standard chassis but thought that it might need to be plaaced behind the wheels, but the people at powrwheel didn't seem to know much just kept asking for chasssis depths etc.
I think I will go for the standard one and hope the fitter is more knowledgeable
Now all i need is it to be fitted before I go on holiday.
No its not quite that simple we had to crawl around under ours and decide if the chassis was straight or L shaped ( ours was L shaped). There is no right answer they vary. Ours needed spacers, I have no idea what they are but the man had some. Ours is behind the wheels and is the basic model. It is great.

"Have you considered a mover that fits in the jockey wheel socket?"
I think thats what a powrwheel actually is, as can be seen here. The powrtouch is the chassis mounted mover. Can a hitch mounted mover really be worth £600 when you can can get a proper mover like this for £699.
Powrtouch for a Pathfinder - I can certainly recommend. Like you we had to manoeuvre within a ver limited space - fantastic bit of kit with a 5 year guarantee - had ours moved onto the caravan.
