Hi All

Its been a long time since I used the message board, dont get me wrong i'm addicted to this site and read the messages everyday.

We sold our tent recently and brought a T/T and i love it, thing is we are not sure if you need to buy the ground sheet to fit under the beds or not.

Do I only cover the living area also whats the best ground sheet?

Eco or lite weave

Please help

Thanks in advance

hiya it all depends on what you would prefer we have a eco groundsheet that is fitted in the living area of the trailer tent and then we just use bits that were left over to go under the bedroom bits just to keep the mud and dirt off the underbed tents and another bit under the wardrobe area

Hi Jane, as most sites we use now insist on you using breatheable groundsheets, we converted when we bought our tt. We only put it out in the living area. We sometimes store windbreaks and the like in the underbed area so we do have a small normal groundsheet in there but make sure we move it to save it damaging the grass. Although a bit more expensive, we found the newer 'carpet' types of breatheable ground sheet preferable to the open weave types, warmer on bare feet in the morning and the grass doesn't grow through it. The disadvantage was that the type we bought is sealed round the edge at manufacture and can't be trimmed to size otherwise it would unravel. Luckily it is not too big so we just have to fold up one edge.
