Er................ Trailer tent???!!!

Congratulations on your new trailer tent.  If you mean what do you class it as when booking a pitch, most camp sites are very familiar with the different types of trailer tents, folding campers etc so if you tell them you have a trailer tent they should know exactly what you mean and reserve you a suitable pitch.

I'm going mad i'm sure i just posted something on here but it didn't post. heres to second time round.

We have a raclet and just state to the sight it is   a trailer tent, i think most are more concerened of if it is an american rv thing. We generly have a grass pitch and aslong as we have an ehu pitch then we are happy :)

for what its worth trailer tents & folding campers are eligible for membership of the caravan club  (& obviously the camping & caravanning club).  I am a member of both as it gives greater choice of exellent sites  mostly with spotless heated bogs. Also access to  caravan clubs superb travel insurance  with around £5000 available for continuation of holiday if your camping unit is put out of service.  I had to call on it once when mine was written off  within a couple of hours of landing in france.  The holiday was fine with the caravan club paying for exellent hotels (where & of our choice)  and even an eating out allowanace per head per day. The 2 clubs vary from year to year as to which offers the best ferry crossing rates.
