Hi all

After a bit of advice or tips on packing for a trip in our trailer tent purchased it back in March, have been camping for a few years with a Suncamp frame tent,

but needed something bigger,

have found some great info from others on here.

has anyone got any tips on the way they pack their tt,  equipment, food  and what they have found to be useful for packing?

I recon your own method will just evolve over time, and will probablychange quite a lot over the first few trips.

Until now, we've put as much as we can in the trailer, so that there's minimal packing to do in the event of a spur of the moment weekender. So, that's gas, chairs, two tables, electrics except the extension, poles, awning, pegs, heaters, duvets and kids sleeping bags. Chairs lie flat on top of each other snug between the sides. Airer goes on top between the breathable groundsheet and the waterproof one. Big fridge and toilet go beside each other (never was sure about that practise) in the front box along with the bits of wood,  wheel and hitch locks, the wheel brace and the jockey wheel (which I remove as that seems to be the only way of keeping it out of harm). Kitchen unit fully armed ready, with a 907 bottle (turned off...).

Food and things (foil, tea towels etc) go in the car in some stackable plastic boxes with lids. One of these becomes a wash-up bowl when we get to site. The barby goes in either the car or trailer. Clothes go in the car in a hanging shelf thingy (Ikea, I think). This then gets hung up between the bed pods once we're pitched.

Well that's the plan anyway.

thanks for that, we away used to have to pack the car twice before it would all go in with the frame tent.

have so much more space with the tt no doubt will fill it up
