Blimey, what a response, I've never been so popular!!

I understand the views of people who said not to camp on cliff tops but it was the only site we found that didn't have a list of rules as long as your arm or a bar on site/ swimming pool.  I like my sites a little bit more, shall we say, relaxed!  It's a great site where everyone is friendly and in good weather is out of this world.  I think I just need to keep an eye on the forecast and if its gonna be stormy leave Pembrokeshire to the more hardy types.

Maybe the next time they have i pitch a bit further away from the cliff edge.
By the way, were you facing the cliff, or having the back of your outfit towards the cliff? It makes a difference as you read above. On that site in the French Jura I helped a couple (TT) who also tried to erct face to the valley and had a lot of trouble. Wife to light to hold down the awning, tubes started to crack. I told them to reverse and turn their back to the valley and helped them doing so. Erection than was no problem anymore and they also were OK the next week. They did the same as we did, sit aside of their tent for the view. There was loads of space.
Anyway, you know what to do now. Have fun the next time. I am sure you will be OK. These are the things we learn from.

Anyone camping on top of cliffs must be out of their tiny mind.

Camp further back, pitch behind hedgerows if poss, then you can walk to the edge of the cliff to see the beutiful bay.

Useful tip we were given regarding the Awning Tie Down Kits is when you are putting one over your awning put a twist in it as this stops the tie down kit flapping as well.

Sounds like a tip worth trying. Thanks for that.

You had pegged the bit of elastic that holds the flap over the awning down hadn't you I've seen a lot of people don't bother and the wind whips in between that and the roof lining.
