Hello all,

Apologies but I only seem to come on here when asking for help.

We have just come back from a week in Norfolk with our Raclet Jasmin TT (and it only rained once, or twice...) but had a bit of a problem on the way home. There was an ominous rattling from under the TT for a few miles and then a crash as we went over a Tesco speed hump... The spare wheel cage had dropped down from underneath. Hubby managed to tie it back on (thankfully we had some string from the baby's inflatable boat handy) but we need to fix it properly before our next outing. We can't find anything in the instruction manual beyond 'change the spare wheel': there's nothing about attaching the cage itself. Anyone had a similar problem?? Thought I'd try here before asking Burcroft camping.....

With all my faith in you..

we've got a herald model and the cage is held onto the frame by a bolt - is this what you mean? i'm guessing that the bolt to hold it all into place wasn't done up tight enough! it should fit through a small bracket....
if so , you just ned to find a bolt same diameter and preferably same length or a bit longer.

any spares contact raclet uk...01189 791023 or raclet at btconnect.com

Thanks for that.. Hubby managed to have a proper look at it yesterday and it's actually just held in by tension - the frame got bent somehow and so the tension was lost. He straightened it out but we just need to avoid it happening again! My stepdad reckons someone tried to nick the spare wheel while we were parked at a services..........

there should be a bolt holding it onto the body of the TT at the lights end....
