Hi, thinking of getting a trailer tent just for myself and the wife, I just want an easy to erect weekender thats practical and cheap, have found the following 3 that appeals, has antbody got any thoughts or opinions on them
hi cant tell you anything about the units you have listed but have you looked at the raclet solena cracking two person unit and only takes minutes to set up
Isn't the Comanche Brisa a folding camper rather than a trailer tent? I have been on the verge of buying a Brisa for the past couple of years, luckily I didn't because I was made redundant ythis year.
Yes you are right, in fact i think all three are folding campers really, I seem to class them all as trailer tents because of the they are mostly fabric, I have added now to my own thoughts the Raclet Solena that lynn and ray posted, as that also appeals as to what i am thinking of getting,
Can't comment on the Brisa, but we've a Comanche Montana and love it.
No bells or whistles, just a well-made quality unit, very waterproof, light, easy to tow and erected in 30 seconds.
Awning takes longer - got it down to 25 minutes, including pegging. However, for weekending. the basic unit alone is ideal.
Highly recommended!
Would have said if you want something that is dead easy to put up you are looking at a combi or a camplet. There is another model, I think by Trigano that goes up very like a combi that has just got one double bed which is cheaper.
We have a cabanon venus L 2006 model (green/grey colour scheme) - We purchased this new last year and have used it several times, both for short breaks and longer holidays. We find that even for short breaks we put the awning up as the unit itself isn't big enough to live in as we store all our things (table, chairs, wardrobes etc etc in the trailer base itself so if we were to just pitch the unit we would have nowhere to put the items.
It is very easy to erect and doesn't take too long. It can be a little tricky to put up yourself with the canvas section so ideally two persons are needed.
