We never pay for the awning on our "trailer tent".

Hi Pauline K, sorry for delay been away for last trip in the super quickstop. We bought ours second hand from a camping shop in Romford, think it was for a friend of the owner if I remember right.  If you search on the internet there is a company that sells them called campers and leisure I think. just over 5k new I think. I have never seen another super quickstop since we had ours but we've only camped in the south east.  People always come over to check it out and comment on how quickly it goes up. If you're looking to buy new check them out, from the research I did I never found better beds as I don't like the idea of climbing over someone to go the the loo in the night! Not sure if the new model has the little cubby hole to push the portaloo into in the cabin as the photos online don't show it but worth asking as this is a godsend with small children. They also have huge storage lockers all round for all your gear.

There's been some great info, and it all just confrims why I would LOVE to buy a folding camper.

BUT!!!!!!

The guy asking the question is 6'6"!!!!!!! Most UK folding campers have max 6'4" beds, so...

a)  the last thing you want is to be pushing your toes against the canvas wall if it's raining!

 b) wouldn't be very comfortable.

I'm 6'5", so Ive been looking at USA types - eg Flagstaff - loads of bargains on Ebay.com but suspect shipping & import duty would turn it into a giant saga.

Anyone any experince??

Buy a folding camper, go away in the winter when it's cold then he'll snuggle up, wrap his legs around you and the beds won't be a problem!!

or buy a raclet super quickstop globetrotter. The beds open out the other way so worst case scenario your feet would be in the living area rather than not being able to stretch out.
