Hellllooo. again.

Can anyone please tell me whether or not they have succesfully purchased an IXL type frame for a Pennine Pathfinder Awning..?

I have noticed that in the existing bag/box, there was a Scandinavian instruction manual for the existing frame, and that this year Pennine have mysteriously cut a deal with Isabella, for future trailers (Funny that).

If the awning is something standard they possible make for Pennine, maybe an equivalent exists, even if an option was never offered form the Factory..?

I would prefer the genuine article, if available.

Thx again in advance

Sal.

Ours came with the ixl poles. They were/are available as an extra. We paid £99 to "upgrade" from steel to ixl frame. Ring Highbridge caravans and ask.

Thx Jan,

Just been confirmed that they are available from stock. Apparently we weren't offered the upgrade as we took the free awning offer currently available. Still going to order one tho, so damn heavy in the trailer..!!

Thx again. Sal.

Our awning and skirts were free but we still got offered the upgrade. How much are the poles on their own? I mean you won't have a need for the steel ones as well. I'd try it on with the dealer and complain you should have been offered the option at time of purchase. The main advantage is they leave less of dent when dropped on ones head!

Jan, Cool and ty....we ordered the camper from Derby sure you know where, and think the dealer is going to concede on the lack of options offered. For your information, the upgrade now is £125, but if we have to buy the frame outright it is £325. ouch.!

And yes....the steel frame is a ridiculous weight....and Phil already has the scars to show on his head.

By the way, we are about to join the owners club, are they going anywhere with availablity next weekend pls..>?

Sal.....

You can see the events on the web page. http://www.pennineownersclub.org.uk/ Its the holiday meet this fortnight so no. There are three meets in September though. We are supposed to be going to the Hardwick Lakes one but some ****** hit our car on Thursday and we think it will be a write off. I am not desperately hopefull of us having a tow bar to go. Not sure if Webby will let the link stay so just do a search for pennine owners.
