Previously someone mentioned wheels for their trailer tent kitchen, I have been trying to find some for my cabanon, can anyone advise where to get them from?

Thanks

Sally

I went to my local tip and found 4 good quality castors. B and Q for 4 lengths of 20mm square steel tubing, 4 x10mm bolts and expansion plugs( the  metal type used for fixing to an external rendered wall). Job done for approx £20 and I think they are superior to those, ready made, you can buy.

If you can't face this bother you can buy them here for £25 a pair. http://www.tentvaletingservices.co.uk/

It definately makes a difference. Good luck

Hi dampomega

I don't suppose you have a photo handy, do you?  It's something I'm keen to do as the kitchen on our Chantilly is very heavy, but it would be so much easier to visualise if I can see the finished article.

Hi Jonah

I also have a chantilly and modified the feet to castors just a few months ago, I had to cut of the feet on the exisiting legs and use round expander type fittings to fix the castors in place, (had to use round as I couldn't find square expanders) and they work a treat

Dont have any pics but could get a few over the weekend possibly.

This is what I used and are available from Varleys or keystone castors

Hope this helps

Andy

I always fancied fitting wheels to mine, possibly even just to one end, but never got round to it. I wanted to be able to shove (just store) the kitchen out of the way / rain under a bed on stopovers.

TT.
