Hi, We currently have a 1995 conway cruiser which is great for 2 kids and 2 adults. The only drawback is that I'm 6'5'' and can only fit in the double bed (the seating area converted) be sleeping diagonally. Do you know if any fc's have longer beds?

Thanks, Dai

I think the Fiesta has longer beds than the Pathfinder - worth checking it out?  It opens the other way - door at the back.

Our long friend took the single cupboard out of the pathfinder and made "his" side of the bed longer. ( me I can fit on it easy)

We have a seen a Raclet model where the bed is turned through 90 degrees so that someone tall can stick their feet out the bottom.

Not sure which model it was though...My OH is 6ft 2 and really needs 210cm minimum to sleep in.

Those big bad American boys kick sand in the face of someone whose only 6'5" - American style pop ups seem to be the biggest - but oh where to find them?

Anyone know of dealers?

Just another thought...

I currently use a Transcamper. I'm 6'5" too, and my toes don't poke out the sides.

You could probably get one for much less than a Pennine Sterling, etc, etc.

Only snag is you open the top by flipping over the big bed boards on both sides, then crawling inside and putting up the attcahed frame/canvas. This all takes a wee bit longer than I would imagine it does in other types. It's kind of half way between a trailer tent and a folding camper. Hope this helps

I think trailer tents tend to have longer beds - I'm 6' 3" and have been put off changing from a tent for the same reason. Cabanons are 210cm, and the Conway Carnival is 220cm. Camplets are 215cm.
The manufacturers haven't twigged that people are getting taller.

Hi we have a Conway Countryman, as Lisa posted previously the Countryman like the Fiesta opens up the opposite way, the beds run the full length of the unit, with the door to the back of the trailer.

You obviously have a tighter living area than other models in the Conway/Pullman range but the beds are longer 207cm. The bed length was the main reason I chose the Countryman over other models.

Suggest you get down to a good dealer who should only be too please to let you lie down on the beds (felt a bit daft but I did and made sure I was 100% happy with the ubit we chose) -It is alot of money to spend and not be able to fit comfortably in the bed.

Mark
