Hi Debbi, on the camping and caravanning website, click on local groups, then on the left hand menu click on special interest sections, the trailer tent and folding camper group is at the bottom of the page, then just click on the map for north east region, we are going to Houghall at the weekend, which is a farm site, it only has basics, chemical disposal and fresh water, but we have a great time, they have a big tent for get togethers games etc at night, it is good fun, cost is £4 per night

remember people go camping at all times of the year.

I would however recommend a decent heater, gas or electric (with hook up) is a must as well as decent camping beds or domething to sleep in.

We went to Cornwall, to visit relatives over the new year, and along with alot of other friends ended up camped on their rear lawn. We slept on 2 sleeping bags, a goose down continental quilt on top of 2 layers of cardboard. on top of this we had another quilt. The result: loverly and warm.

The most shocking thing was getting up in the morning when there was no heat on, bbbrrr!

We are away nearly every weekend until end of October and are hoping to get away mid November too. Just bringing warm pjs and extra fleecey blankets for bed. The blown air from the heater is great just left on all night and we will take the extra electric heater just in case. We love getting away for weekends as we leave the big son in charge at home and get peace and quiet, just the two of us.  Much better by far than a very expensive city break or such like!!!
