We used to have a Conway Cruiser which is almost the same as your Pennine Sterling I think. We kept it on the drive all year.
Whenever we came back from camping, we would always thoroughly hoover it out and wipe down all surfaces with anti-bac wipes or spray. This removed all traces of crumbs and food smells etc which the mickeys would like to sniff out! We never left any food in it either, even tea, coffee etc.
Once we had finished camping for the year, we then covered the canvas (folded down as normal) with bubble wrap, then a sheet of plastic then the normal top cover. As our drive slopes down, we parked the Cruiser so it also sloped down which encouraged rain to run straight off. We also put flower pots under the top cover to also prevent any water possibly laying on it. You can take the mattresses and seat cushions out and store them indoors if you wish. We did one winter but not the next and they were all fine both times.
During the winter, we would open up the Cruiser on a fine day and let it air for a couple of hours. We would try to do this at least once a month, if possible twice. This kept the canvas well aired which helps prevent any mould, which does'nt like fresh air.
This may all sound a bit of a performance but we never had any trouble with mice or mould and we always felt it worth the effort.
That's our experience anyway, hope it helps.
