Hi, I'm about to buy a 2003/4 crusader and have seen pictures. However on the Conway website the model that matches mine is from their 2001 brochure. Is there any way to verify what year the one I'm looking at buying was manufactured in? Is it possible for it to be made in 2003 but be in the 2001 brichure?
If you find the Conway Owners Club website - they have back brochures I think - you can then check colours as they appear to change them every 2 yrs.......alternatively you could check the serial no. with Conway directly if you are able to get hold of it.
------------- Life is far too short to use an airbed!
their is a plate on the chassis mine is to the left of the door, part of the serial no is year of manafacture mine was 2004 2 letters and 5 numbers on the plate mine ends in 04 denoting that was the year manafactured , but not always that is the year it was sold ,mine was purchased at easter 2005 but unit was made in 2004 , hope this makes sense , by the way 2004 was the year pennine took over making the conways and the crusaders are a foot longer from then also the 2004 are the blue and gold canvas , if it is any help look at my website that will tell you if the one you like is 2004
Thanks everyone from your replies.John - the one I'm looking at isn't like yours, it's green and white and matches one I've seen on the Conway website from their 2001 brochure. Is it possible it was manufactured in 2001, but not sold until 2003/4? Seems a long time difference? It's a local free ad, not ebay, but is very reasonably priced at £4.5k. which for a 2003/04 van is very good, but if it's made in 2001 then maybe not so good?
check the plate on the aframe, but you must be aware canvas colours mean diddle they get replaced for one reason or other and are the wrong year due to personal choice.
