Thanks Pauline for info.Looked at Camperland website-really useful pointers to buying trailer tent.Sadly don't live near Manchester, live near Portsmouth(well actually closer to Southampton but Portsmouth scored 7 goals on saturday so this week its Portsmouth).
And ac55,if the mallet makes him get the awning up quicker in the rain, who am i to judge?
I think he would think I was unwell if I didnt mallet him, just had a thought, lol can you remember Timmy Mallet, he had a huge mallet. Now we have a dandy, there isnt any pegging on that, BUT there is still the toilet-tent to peg out, he was moaning about that on Sat, so I said that I would take Digby(cocker spaniel) for a walk, came back in 10 mins, and hey presto!!! it was done
Good advice to have a look at new models somewhere local to get pros and cons on them all. Lots here rave about dandys as they appear to be pvc so drying out and shrinkage not a problem. Space wise you cant beat the old trigano, not that I am bias at all of course. We love ours and I will admit it may not be the quickest thing to put up but once you get the hang it is not difficult. Once up kids dogs bikes buggies and the swing ball all go in and room to run about on a rainy day. Has to be dried on the frame so a garden to pitch in helps. We got ours seconh hand off ebay but were very lucky got honest seller. Research well and you will be happy. Look forward to hearing your first trip out stories.
