Hi No you're not the only one to think like this.
I made new inner bed tents for my conway folding camper this year for this reason. I used blackout thermal curtain lining material ( approx £3.00 a metre) using the old inner as a template. It wasn't too difficult - just basic sewing machine usage- the difference to both the light and also the difference in the temperature is amazing would recomend to anyone for the small amount of work and they work out cheaper than buying new inners too!!
